What is Astra Deliverance?
Astra Deliverance is a dark grim fantasy series created by R.B. where medieval fantasy embraces the cyberpunk genre written in a gritty, brutal and extremely graphic style. There are many stories to be told within the world. Think of high fantasy (Skryim, Lord of the Rings) meets Cyberpunk. Due to The Great Meteor Torrent impacting all lands, and introducing Astra to the world, the celestial substance disrupted the then medieval way of life and thrust the world into a technological and cyber revolution. Astra Deliverance aims to modernize and refresh the high fantasy genre by including interesting races, weaponry and more modern looking armor and clothing styles. Astra Deliverance also aims to represent more people of color in high fantasy such as people of mixed race, middle eastern and African descent and indigenous peoples; to include fantasy races.
What do you plan to do with the world of Astra Deliverance?
When world building is complete, you can expect full length voice-acted and narrated YouTube videos about a myriad of stories that will take place in the world. Stories will also be posted on this website. As the journey progresses, I aim to create better stories with increased visual 3-D fidelity with the use of programs like Blender, After Effects and more to enhance engagement and immersion of the stories created. I am currently learning how to use these tools.
How far along is Astra Deliverance?
The series is currently in the late world building stage. I have a extensive and exhaustive Wiki laying out the history, conflicts, cultures, weaponry, magic, etc. of all the races. If I am able to procure the artwork, I will be posting several videos to the YouTube channel narrating the world and stories, hopefully in 2025.
